Beginner to Advanced Kiln Formed Glass

Custom Class

Design your own class! This can be anywhere from 1 to 7 non-consecutive days, for 3 hours per day. I can teach you multiple techniques for creating kiln formed glass. Techniques such as: puddles, controlled bubbles, pattern bars, and more.

In a 1 day class we will cover the differences between various art glass types, stained glass, glass blowing and kiln formed glass. You will be able to create a simple sun catcher.

In a 2 day class we will cover the above and then get into glass cutting techniques and some basic information about glass, such as compatibility, flow control and various types of kiln schedules. This will give you a good basic understanding of kiln formed glass and enable you to determine if this is an art for you wish to pursue. You will make a 10” dish.

The more days you add to your class the more information I can provide you. I started working with glass over 30 years ago. The possibilities are endless. I constantly work to develop new skills and designs.
